Using document types

Document types can be used to categorise your documents and assign different kinds of shared property to them. Document types can be used for a range of purposes, depending on the shared properties they include.

Document types can be applied to documents from the Documents page on your workspace.

To apply a document type to a document, right click on the document title and select the Custom Properties option from the drop-down menu. This will prompt the Custom Properties dialog box to appear.

Right clicking on a document title and selecting Custom Properties... opens the Custom Properties dialog box.

From the Document Type drop-down menu, select the Document Type that you wish to apply to the document, fill out the relevant fields, and press Save.
